"The Eastern Great Lakes Regional Championship for the Cleveland Arena in Cleveland, Ohio comes to you be ABC radio and is brought to you by Chevrolet - set the USA in your Chevrolet.

This is your announcer, Roger Blake and we're waiting for the next to last pair skating couple to come out on the ice ... there they are Ladies and Gentlemen, Scott Gray and Verna Taylor from Pontiac, Michigan. They're third after the short program ... and it's a great choice of music they've chosen to West Side Story. They're opening with the more difficult side by side double jump, a double salcow ... and right back into the character of West Side Story ... nice speed skating into the triple twist lift ... it was a good catch on the landing. Now coming up the double toe loop ... nice combination ... a little far apart.

Now there's a double Lutz from the backward outside edge ... oh no, they started from the inside edge and performed a double toe loop. It will cost them. A very good program though, as they make thier way to the Kiss and Cry area for the announcement of thier scores."

" Five-five, five-six ... five-seven ... for Technical merit. Five-eight, five-seven ... five-six ... for Presentation."

"when we come back, the last pair in our program ... Alexander Gustov and Sarah Yoder are next."

Alex and Sarah standing off to the side ready to perform were distracted by their coach seconds before they were to come onto center ice. "Change program," Martina said, as she skated up to them. "Start with side by side triple toe loop."

"We're back ... Alexander and Sarah are performing to brilliant choreography ... this is Roger Blake once again, your ABC announcer ... from Cleveland, Ohio bringing you the last of the competitiors. Difficulty here ... side by side triple toe loop ... change in program just minutes before the start of the performance ... oh perfect timing and coordination! Next combination, side by side double axel and stepping into a triple toe loop. Now double salchow ... very nice, beautiful extension adds so much emotion to this number The Blue Danube.

This will be a big finals for them to get over ... a triple twist into a double toe loop ... oh ... beautiful position, perpendicular into the air and then a very solid landing.

Now they skate into the Kiss and Cry area for their scores."
Five-seven, five-eight, five-nine, five-eight ... Technical scores. Five-nine, five-eight, five-nine ... Presentation....
